We remodeled this basement for a family in Egg Harbor Township in New Jersey. Our goal was add a comfortable, bright, and warm space for the family to enjoy. We gutted the basement and framed out the new exterior walls with wood lumber. In addition to all new insulation, we rewired the basement and added plenty of new recessed lights. We made room for a desk and added a small area for a home office. We removed a wall in the bathroom to improve the layout to add room for a full sized shower. A new vanity, toilet, bathroom fixtures, a rain shower head, and a custom shower glass enclosure added a lot of elegance to the bathroom. With three electric baseboard heaters, a heated floor system, thick insulation, and energy efficient windows the basement will weather the coldest Egg Harbor Township winters.
