In many cases, the most effective method of basement waterproofing will be to install an interior drainage system along the perimeter of your basement beneath the sub-floor, running beside the foundation footings.
Drains are installed by creating a minimal opening in the cement floor along the walls.
A trough is then created and perforated drainage pipes are laid in such a way that the system creates a gravity feed to a collection tank at one point in the basement’s perimeter.
These drainage pipes are then surrounded with gravel to allow the water to be easily captured by the perforated pipes and directed toward the collection tank.
