Aging-in-place means remaining in one’s home safely, independently and comfortably, regardless of age, income or ability level. It means the pleasure of living in a familiar environment throughout one’s maturing years.
What We Do
It’s likely you have a busy schedule, whether getting kids ready for school, getting to a meeting, or preparing for guests. One way to simplify your life is having a kitchen that offers practicality, functionality, and beauty. After all, the kitchen is the very heart of your home! It’s where your friends and family gather, laugh, share stories, do homework, and enjoy meals. Food not only brings us together and sustains us, but it’s a special way of binding people together. A well designed kitchen allows you to enhance those experiences, by using your space more efficiently, as well as adding a sense of style.
In our experience serving customers at H & N Custom Homes, we believe that the most beautiful kitchens are not only stylish and practical, but are more importantly comfortable. Isn’t that the real key to your home’s most active space?
Some key details to keep in mind when considering a kitchen remodel:
• Budget and time.
• Countertop materials including granite, quartz, and marble.
• Cabinet and storage space.
• Appliance layout.
• Traffic patterns through and around the space.
• Flooring material including tile, hardwood, and laminate.
• Lighting and fixture style.
Who doesn’t look forward to a hot, comforting bath or shower after a busy day? But the experience can be hampered by cramped space, aging fixtures, small tub, dated sinks, and more. If you’re dreaming about a bathroom that offers you a higher level of comfort and personal style, H & N Custom Homes can help.
Homeowners trust H & N Custom Homes because we have experience with the full spectrum of bathroom renovations, from simple updating to complete gutting and custom remodeling. We start by understanding your specific idea of what you want in a bathroom. But before we do anything, including planning the project, we will do an assessment to uncover as many existing issues as possible.
At H & N Custom Homes, the renovation process, from design inception to project implementation, is a personal one. We work side by side with our customers to ensure that all the factors of a great remodel are covered including budget, design, material selection, and scheduling.
H & N Custom Homes is also a Certified Aging-in-Place Contractor who can design a bathroom renovation that can include future considerations for grab bars, shower benches, and much more. With such considerations in place, your bathroom will be designed so it ages as you do; with style and grace.
Almost every homeowner faces a myriad of choices when it comes to their basement space. There’s no doubt that basements are perhaps the most versatile, but often overlooked, space in your home.
There’s no doubt that basements are perhaps the most versatile, but often overlooked, space in your home. Basements are commonly approached differently than other spaces in the home, when in reality, you should look at your basement as a space waiting to become something useful and enjoyable. In our experience creating basements, we find that homeowners consider it to be one of the most popular spots in the house. Plus, a useable basement adds space and additional convenience for much less money than an addition to your home.
At H & N Custom Homes, we have many years of experience providing solutions to these and other crucial questions. Whether it’s an update or complete custom remodeling, you will benefit from our record of excellence.
Design/Build services simplify the renovation and/or construction process for the customer by handling the entirety of the development from start to finish. H & N Custom Homes is proudly partnered with great designers and together, we will work with you to plan out your next home renovation from dream to reality.
It starts with a meeting with one of our fantastic designers to speak with you about your renovation goals and desires. Once the design process between customer and designer is complete, our contracting team will work with the designers on an estimate based on the features in the design specs.
Part of the beauty of design/build is that should any issues arise during the estimating and preparation stages, the design can more quickly be adjusted as the contractors and designers are in constant communication. Additionally, such a close relationship between experienced professionals saves the customer money, as each can provide insight that achieves your designed look for a great price. Using a design also allows the customer to visualize what the completed project will look like before it is actually finished.
