Our Story
We believe old houses are worth saving. The right way – with a strong eye for traditional design elements, a thoughtful layout, meticulous planning and uncompromising attention to detail.
With that spirit in mind – and an abundance of old houses in need of saving – we founded H & N Custom Homes in 2003. We have a particular affinity for Craftsman and Victorian-era styles and have since had the pleasure of renovating several houses in South Orange Village’s historic neighborhoods.
Our Approach
Our approach is part renovation, part restoration – a carefully planned amalgamation of two distinctly different worlds. Yet we carefully blend the best of both by preserving original architectural details where possible while adding space, function and utility where needed.
The result? An old house reborn. Revived. Reinvented. Once again enchanting and aesthetically captivating, yet entirely contemporary with all the amenities that matter. At H & N Custom Homes, we specialize in high-end, full house renovations of historic properties.

If you are buying an older home that needs a new renovation OR if the current house you are living in needs work, H & N Custom Homes can help. We provide full turnkey services to handle the entire renovation process; From architectural planning and permitting, to construction and interior design, we have you covered for any whole house renovations.
Kitchen Design Services
Our in-house design staff works with you through every step of the process, allowing for complete transparency. We begin by incorporating your goals and gathering important information, like desired amenities, square footage, your budget, etc. We take into consideration your wants and needs, and from there, establish an overall framework for your kitchen design.
Kitchen Remodeling
